Citizenship after 10 years of residence

  1. SPID (digital identity) of the applicant
  2. Birth certificate, translated and legalized
  3. Criminal record certificate, translated and legalized
  4. Valid passport
  5. Valid identity card
  6. Valid residence permit
  7. Historical certificate of residence (to be requested from the Italian municipalities where you have lived)
  8. Self-certification of your current family status
  9. CUD, Unico model, or 730 tax form from the last 3 years (depending on your employment status)
  10. Italian language proficiency certificate at B1 level (if you do not have a long-term residence permit)
  11. Payment of €251 + €16.50, to be made directly at the help desk through the PagoPA service, using a bank/postal card or bank account

Citizenship after marriage

  1. SPID (digital identity) of the applicant
  2. Birth certificate, translated and legalized
  3. Criminal record certificate, translated and legalized
  4. Valid passport
  5. Valid identity card
  6. Valid residence permit
  7. Historical certificate of residence
  8. Self-certification of current family status
  9. Full marriage certificate
  10. Identity document of the Italian spouse
  11. Italian language proficiency certificate at B1 level (if not in possession of a long-term residence permit)
  12. Payment of €251 + €16.50, to be made directly at the help desk via the PagoPA service, using a bank/postal card or bank account

Long-term permit (ex. Illimited residence card)

  1. Residence permit
  2. Certificate of residence and family status (for the Immigration Office – Questura)
  3. Employment contract or UniLav form
  4. Most recent CUD and last payslip
  5. Rental contract + registration
  6. Housing suitability certificate (if not living alone)
  7. Italian language proficiency certificate at A2 level
  8. Postal payment slip of €130.46
  9. Revenue stamp of €16

Family reunion

  1. Passport of the foreign relative
  2. Passport, residence permit, and tax code (codice fiscale) of the applicant
  3. UniLav form (employment notification)
  4. Most recent CUD
  5. Last 3 payslips
  6. Rental contract + registration
  7. Form S2, completed and signed by the homeowner
  8. Photocopy of the homeowner's identity document
  9. Form S3, completed and signed by the employer
  10. Photocopy of the employer's identity document
  11. Housing suitability certificate (to be requested at the Municipality, Technical Office)
  12. Certificate of residence and family status (to be requested at the Municipality, Registry Office)
  13. Historical certificate of residence (to be requested at the Municipality, Registry Office)
  14. For parents over 65 years old: health insurance
  15. Revenue stamp of €16
